Professor Peter Openshaw at Imperial College London and scientific adviser to the British government, currently the world developed a new type of corona virus (Covid-19) of scale in production of the vaccine would take months and even accepted any of the vaccines until at least approximately 9 incrementing September 2021 warned that it might not be open to the public. However, the professor said there would be positive results from at least one of The Vaccines, whose third-stage clinical trials are ongoing by the beginning of the year, but this did not mean a return to normal.
Peter Openshaw, a SAGE fellow and professor at Imperial College of London, who was created to provide scientific advice to the government in the UK, said any corona virus vaccine may not be available to the public until September 2021.
AT LEAST 10 BILLION DOSES NEED TO BE PRODUCED
Experts had previously announced that for an effective fight against the new type of corona virus, an effective vaccine would need to be produced by about 10 billion. In a statement to Sky News, Professor Openshaw warned of possible delays in the public access of a potential vaccine, saying: “I think vaccines can provide protection for months or even years.”
“3 in the world over the next few months. we are waiting for the final results of a large number of vaccines that conduct stage human experiments. Based on what we know about the immune system, these are the immune responses triggered by vaccines. I think it will provide protection for at least a few months, maybe even years.
DISTRIBUTING THE VACCINE AROUND THE WORLD IS A PROCESS OF AT LEAST 9 MONTHS
I believe we will have a positive result from at least one of these vaccine trials by Christmas. This means that with rapid scale-up, we could have vaccination programs that could spread to parts of the world over the next nine months.”
IT SHOULD NOT BE PERCEIVED AS A RETURN TO NORMAL LIFE”
I hope that before winter 21/22, we will have an effective vaccine available to the public. But people should not perceive the approval of the use of the vaccine as a way that they will immediately return to normal life. Companies interested in the vaccine delivery process and production capacity are still doing research, and there will be a cost.”
HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF GOVERNMENT WORKERS VACCINATED IN CHINA
Openshaw’s remarks came after China announced it had found an effective and safe vaccine. Zhou Song, legal counsel for China’s National Biotec Group, said the vaccine, called Sinovac, developed by Sinofarm, had been proven effective after being injected into hundreds of thousands of government employees. RUSSIA APPROVES FOR THE FIRST TIME
Russia, on the other hand, approved the use of a vaccine called “Sputnik V” last month, and the results of second-stage clinical data showed that the vaccine generated enough immune response and was safe to beat the disease.35
VACCINE CANDIDATES BEING TESTED ON HUMANS
According to World Health Organization (WHO) data, as of August 28, 35 vaccine candidates against Covid-19 are in clinical trials and 145 vaccine candidates are in pre-clinical evaluation.
