Barcelona’s new coach Ronald Koeman has spoken out about Memphis Depay on his transfer agenda.
Ronald Koeman says they need to sell players first to be able to transfer Memphis Depay.
Koeman, who replaced Quique Setien, told Fox Sports: “for Depay to come, we need to sell first. We are working on the new season and I think we will start with the same players we have,” he said.
Barça, who lost the La Liga title to Real Madrid and suffered an 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, have linked up with a number of players to be ambitious again.
The Catalan giant, who added Miralem Pjanic to his squad, who sent Arthur to Juventus in a swap, remains interested in Inter’s star Lautaro Martinez.
Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has emerged as a possible target, while former player Thiago Alcantara is also on the agenda.
Barcelona will open the 2020-21 La Liga season at home to Villarreal on 26 September.
