Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that Arab countries such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain, which normalize relations with Israel, plan to allocate bases to the Tel Aviv administration in the region, but these countries will be fully responsible for the possible bad consequences in the region.
According to Iranian state television, President Rouhani discussed the issues on the agenda after a meeting of the Council of Ministers in the capital, Tehran.
“This is a one-month process, and the city will be completed at the end of the month (September 20, according to the Iranian calendar),” Rouhani said, pointing to the process by which Washington kicks in on August 21 to bring in UN sanctions on Iran. Fortunately, the United States has not been successful in initiating this process,” he said.
“Only two or three countries in the world have followed the United States,” Rouhani said, adding that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s announcement on Sunday that United Nations (UN) sanctions will be re-imposed. These are one or two small countries with the illegitimate Zionist regime (Israel). Other than that, no one accompanied the United States,” he said.
“I am already celebrating the victory of the Iranian people,” Rouhani said, noting that the European sides of the nuclear deal also oppose the United States, and thus Iran has won a great victory over the United States.
In his speech, Rouhani also criticized Arab countries such as the UAE and Bahrain, which have signed an agreement to normalize relations with Israel.:
“Unfortunately, the rulers of some countries in the region, whose peoples are Muslims, pious and supporters of Islam, do not know religion, nor do they know their debts to their own people and Palestine. How can these countries reach out to Israel as crimes against Palestine increase every day? They want to give them (Israel) a base in the region.
